Topics

  • Kinematic and dynamic anlysis of spatial mechanisms
  • Numerical method of inverse kinematics
  • Denavit-Hartenberg convention and the equations of motion of robots of open kinematic chain
  • Kinematic and dynamics analysis of robots of closed kinematic chain
  • Numerical solution of the differential-algebraic equations obtained using natural co-ordinates

Semester evaluation: Assessment is based on two project assignments and an oral defense. During the retake week, students will present and discuss their project work with the instructor. The final grade depends on the quality of the submitted projects and, primarily, on the student’s ability to defend their work during the oral discussion.
Note for students in the updated curriculum (MSWDYRO-01, 6 credits): You will also take a written exam during the final class session.
