| The subject is compulsory for the students on the faculty of Mechanical Engineering Modelling: Solid Mechanics. |
Requirement for obtaining credits: at least pass (2) exam mark |
Conditions for the signature:
- 2 compulsory homeworks must be solved and submitted until the deadlines. The accepted homeworks are simply graded as Accepted.
Homeworks not accepted will be given back and should be submitted again.
- Attendence of at least 70% of the classes.
- Former signatures can be renewed by the fulfilment of the above conditions.
- Signatures are valid for 6 semesters.

Homeworks and repetition possibilities:
- Homeworks should be submitted through the Moodle system. You are encouraged to use symbolic mathematical software to solve the assigned problems, but the work handed in should be a well-formatted document. Hand-written homeworks are also accepted.
- Homeworks submitted after the original deadline involve late fees.

Exams:
The exams have obligatory written and oral parts:
- The maximum score in the written exam is 60 points. Examination note will be determined as follows:

The oral exam allows the students to increase/decrease their mark by one (e.g. a two might become a three). However, if the oral exam is of excessively poor quality, the teacher reserves the right to give a fail to a student, even if his/her starting mark (from the written exam) was 3 or greater.
